Why?

Bush invaded Iraq because his neo-conservative advisors scarcely distinguish between “democracy” and “capitalism” and “U.S interests.” To them, it’s all code for a stable world order in which U.S. power is not seriously rivaled, our corporate interests are served, and we retain unchallenged access to Middle Eastern energy supplies.

Look, they didn’t even try to keep these real reasons a secret. It’s all out there in public documents. The only people who think this is about democracy are those who listened to the vacuous bluster that absurd little chimp face of a president kept yammering while trying to sell this boondoggle to the American people.

We don’t doubt the Bush administration would consider a peaceful, prosperous Iraq a desirable end state, but let’s not kid ourselves. It’s about the oil

Do you see us invading any poor tyrannies?
